About Raquelle
I started tutoring when I was in high school. Since then I have found it to be rewarding to help my peers, and now younger students, to do better in their classes and help them fully understand the material. I help students by working through homework, test prep, and providing extra resources and practice problems. I have an MS in biomedical engineering. This background is useful in thoroughly explaining math and science concepts. I also do tutoring for English and Social Studies, especially for AP exams.
I have been a tutor for the past four years. I have experience tutoring elementary through high school, including special needs students. I have taken the ACT, SAT, and 8 AP exams myself. I have a bachelors and masters in engineering.

Typically, I ask the student and the parent (if applicable) about the student's classes, class material, study habits, and workload. From there, we can work through a way to tackle the class material while creating a sustainable study method for the student to be able to succeed in their classes. In the first session, we will review the student's homework and class notes to see if help is most needed in note-taking, organization, content, test-taking strategies, and other areas.

Raquelle helped my daughter study for her AP Literature and AP US History exams. She ended up with a 4 on lit and a 5 on history. Where she really needed help was in her DBQ writing and her scores for that portion improved dramatically after tutoring
She was able to help my son to improve his math and geometry skills so that he learned how to better take notes, understand the material, and he got an A in the class! She was super flexible about times and I would hire her again
