About Alisha

Through working at a job that required teaching students Math and Ela, I developed a passion for teaching. Now I tutor students at my school with subjects they struggle with. I want to help students fully understand math topics because I want to see an overall positive outcome on students' grades! I currently attend a specialized high school and therefore I have a lot of knowledge on math that could really help students who need assistance in math as a whole or even in certain units. I started teaching as a summer intern and I now want to help more students pass their classes.

I'm currently a high school student and I have especially excelled in math class throughout the years. I have also tutored students to help them prepare for an admissions test that required knowledge on Mathematics and English. The turnout was great and my students were admitted into their chosen high schools!

About the lesson

Our first lesson will be focused on finding out what the student already knows and where they specifically need help on so I can start a lesson plan that will correctly fit the students needs.
