About Max
My name is Max Henkel-Wallace, and I am currently in my senior year of a data science degree at NYU. Last summer I worked as a software engineer at Roku and before that I worked at a tech startup. In the past I’ve worked at a VC firm, and I’ve been an intern at the NASA Ames research center. I am highly skilled at Python, SQL, Java and a variety other languages, and will ideally tailor a curriculum based on the student’s needs. I’ve been tutoring middle and high school students in math and other subjects for over 5 years and I am a very passionate individual about math, science, programming, history and literature. My educational philosophy is to show sincere enthusiasm for the material and inspire the tutee. I am from the Bay Area and am an avid hiker and camper, an Eagle Scout and I am natively bilingual (German-English).
I am fully vaccinated and I have references available from previous clients.
