About Kayin

Just a grad student with a passion for education and I'm trying not to stray to far as I close out my last leg of schooling.

I enjoy being able to help someone and watch as they overtime become better at it than me. There's just something fulfilling about helping people grow.

I was always that student that was asked to help my classmates growing up, and as I got older I simply thought why not make a career out of it.

I was a TA for my former High School, and stayed there until getting hired as instructional support at a community college. I stayed there for a bit over a year until moving away to a university where I stayed a private tutor until the end of undergrad.

I currently hold my Bachelors in Business Administration and will be finishing my Masters this Fall.

About the lesson

Upon hearingthe subject, I typically check on the textbook to see what terminology, symbols or methods are being used. From there I tweak it from how I was taught and begin helping them trying to tailor it a bit to how it's being graded. lAlong the way I may throw in a few different ways to do it if needed or desired.

In recent years I've stayed within high school and beyond particularly with AP and Dual Credit students, along with students from the campus I happened to be attending at the time.

Tutors have their niche and their own styles, some might be better for certain students or time frames.

Crash course tutors are a thing, in contrast to the one that essentially operates as a second teacher to take you all the way through the course.

I traditionally charge between 12-20 an hour depending on the level of the student.

Anything below High School will be at $12/hr

Highschool will be $15/hr

College will be $15-20/hr depending on subject
