About Varun
I've always loved teaching other students and helping others with math and physics. My tutoring services stand out in comparision to other businesses for a few reasons:
1. In my own experience being tutored for tests such as the SAT and ACT, I found that my classes were often boring or my tutors weren't that engaging. I make it a point to infuse humour and relatable analogies into my lessons in order to get students better acquainted with the material.
2. Not only do I give students materials, study guides, and worksheets to take home, but I also give students the option to email/text me any questions they might have when studying. This allows students to get help at times when we can't meet face-to-face.
3. I offer competitive hourly rates for my services and offer advice to students that goes beyond simple academics, such as advice on college admissions and applications.
My qualifications include:
- 1570/1600 on the SAT
-800/800 on SAT Math II Subject Test
- 5/5 on AP Calculus AB Test, AP Calculus BC Test, AP Macroeconomics Test, AP Microeconomics Test, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism
I really enjoy seeing students improve and tell me their grades are improving or that they feel more confident in their abilities!
