About Kristen
I really enjoy tutoring all types of math, but especially algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and SAT math. I have over 30 years experience teaching at the high school level. I've been tutoring even longer!
I've always wanted to be a teacher. There was no other job that I ever even considered. So after high school I went to college for secondary education and the rest is history!
I am currently a high school math teacher. I've been teaching for 30 years in the same school. I've also been tutoring for 32 years and have always had great success!

I asked them what they currently need help with and I take it from there. If I see you they need some background help, I help there first and then built up to the type of problem they are looking to solve.
I have worked with students from 6th grade through 12th grade and also adult learners who you were looking to get into the electrical union or the military. Some have struggled a lot with math and others just need a little help.
If you are having trouble with math, it is helpful to get a tutor earlier in the school year rather than waiting because lots of topics build on previous ones. Don't wait until it's too late to get a tutor.
A recent event I am fond of would be my niece's high school graduation at a minor league baseball stadium near us. Of course, everyone was socially distanced, But it was definitely an event to remember.
