About Mai

I do cram sessions before test to make sure that you ace that test! I really make sure that you succeed not only in school but in life. Not only am I your tutor, but I am mentor during the time that I am teaching.

I enjoy seeing my clients have fun while learning. Seeing the joy after the confusion and anger of ot being able to solve an equation is truly the best. I love seeing students leave a learning session having aquired a new skill.

I tutored at my local eyelevel but I was let go because of CO-VID19.

I am a rising senior at Brookwood High School next year and I have taken AP Calculus, AP Physics, AP Environmental, AP US History, AP World. I have taken every single math class that my school has to offer. I take all gifted/honors classes.

About the lesson

I would like to get to know the students first. I like to first witness their strengths and weaknesses. I work with the students and make sure that they are enjoying their time learning with me. It's all about the student. If the student is not enjoying their time learning with me then I will not force them. I really like to get to know my students. I want to make it as comfortable of an environment as possible for them!

I have worked with students from 1st grade up to students in 12th grade.

Pick a good teacher that is passionate about teaching. Find a teacher that is willing to help you outside of class hours and will give you all the necessary steps you need not only to pass a class but the steps to be successful and achieve your goals in life.

I remember my first day working when a student got frustrated because she could not understand PEMDAS. She thought that you always had to multiply before divide and she kept singing the song we made and said "See! It says MULTIPLY THEN DIVIDE!! I thought it was hilarious because it was my first day and I thought all the kids were going to have a full on debate with me over a sing about PEMDAS.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think students should be able to ask their teachers anything and everything. I believe it is the teacher who should respond in a way that is respectful and worded in such a way that the student does not feel offended for asking the question in the first place.
