About Jose

During high school I was a volunteer tutor for winter and summer breaks. I would assist my teachers with helping my peers get better understanding of the material in which they had fallen behind.

I am currently striving for my degree in Computer Science and am taking calculus courses. I'm very patient when it comes to helping others learn and make it my goal to ensure that my students are able to step in the classroom confident that they have the necessary knowledge. I am a computer science major meaning that a lot of my curriculum revolves around advanced math courses. I believe that to be successful in such courses requires a strong foundation in early math learning.

Not only do I possess the knowledge necessary to help young students but I also have the skills needed when working with younger minds. Although I strive to become an engineer, history has always been a passion of mine. Many overlook the importance of knowledge the past of our nation, but it's quite rewarding to be able to hold the knowledge of the past. Being able to teach my students will be a rewarding experience for me. I would hope that my contributions to their education will lead them to a bright academic future in which I had even the smallest impact.

It began in high school with my volunteer work during both summer and winter breaks.

I am a computer science major and have previous volunteer experience from my time in high school in which i would assist teachers in tutoring my peers.

About the lesson

First ask questions about what their main problem seems to be when learning the subject and why they think this is happening. Then work from there improving on their weaknesses by using their strenghts. My job is not finished until the student can confidently say they know what they are doing.

Mostly high school students, and on some occasions with a few middle school students.

Look for a tutor that not only can help you know the answers but rather can explain to you their reasoning.

I went to my first concert in March in which I met the band and i had the time of my life.
