About Amanda

I've been tutoring through out high school, college and after. I went to a private collage prep school for 12 years along with a private collage. I grew up bilingual in Spanish (written and spoken). For math, that was just a strong suit of mine along with having the opportunity to help those who were performing poorly. Relating to literature and writing. I've spent parts of my professional career translating contracts in Spanish to English. Ive also have had the opportunity to shaperrone students who we took to Central America for am embassy program. Overall through my experiences of educational and opportunities granted , i am confident my students will succeed.

About the lesson

Typically with new students I like to get to know them and their worst courses. I'll ask them to show me recently passed GRADED assignments along with current things that they are working on. This gives me a good idea of where they are at on paper. I'll do some learning excersises with them (preferably from their current textbooks/criteria) and I'll look at their approach before implementing mine. By the end of the first session i want them to have completed their assignments they have issues in. For tests/quizzes and projects for new students I recommend not waiting till the last minute to schedule with me.
