About John
I love teaching. I've taught for a long time and I love the relationships it builds and I'm always excited to see my students succeed. I teach with passion and heart.
Teaching something to someone who is engaged in learning is a blessing in my life. Seeing the "aha" moments are special. Making a difference is someone's life is all I want to try to achieve.
Music. I started teaching younger students during my high school years and beyond.
I spent 5 years in college to be a music instructor.
I am a certified substitute teacher in the Denver area.

I like to get to know the student as much as possible first. I want them to feel comfortable. I'll also share any information about me that is asked. I want to know the goals and needs of the student. I'll share how my experience teaching will hopefully benefit. I want to be a good fit for the student.
Music, 2nd grade to seniors in charter schools.
Being a good fit for the student as much as the student is a good fit for me is critical. I have lots of experience in helping students learn in many ways. I teach by example, past experiences, history, and other creative ways. I try to make the lessons very relatable.
I am told that my personality, heart and energy is what makes me a good teacher.
