About Abby

Hi students and parents! My name is Abby Singh. I am a college student with a love of learning and teaching. I am willing to help anyone with a multitude of subjects. I have helped many students become confident in their abilities and to achieve higher grades. I am reliable, responsible, and hard-working. I want to help all of my students as much as possible, therefore I can be accommodating to new ideas to enhance the learning experience for the student. I am committed to provide a beneficial learning environment for everybody involved. I have been tutoring students at my local elementary school for about 4 years now. I enjoy the satisfaction of watching a student grow in their capabilities and love towards a subject or topic. I also enjoy seeing the improvement of a child first-hand and the joy they have when finally understanding a difficult question.

I got started teaching while in highschool as a tutor to elementary aged children. I also have taught middle schoolers and high schoolers in certain subjects.

About the lesson

My typical process for working with a new student would be to have an introductory "about me" session to meet and understand the needs of my new student and parent. It is beneficial to understand what the parent ad student need from me as a tutor. We also go over the courses and other learning habits needing to be taught.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Some questions a student would need to thing through would be:

1. What do I need help with?

2. What do I need to re-learn and learn?

3. What is my goal in my classes and how can my tutor help me achieve them?

4. What type of learner/learning style do I learn the most from?
