About Christina

Hello everyone! I'm a 16 year old musician from New Jersey that specializes in violin. I have been playing the violin for over 10 years and have qualified and participated in a few different audition orchestras over the years. I love working with beginners and want to gain experience teaching before I apply to college to major in music education. I charge $10 for half an hour which is very low compared to others since I am still in highschool (I am still highly qualified to teach though!). Due to the coronavirus, I am willing to teach online through zoom, facetime, google meet, or any other preferred platform.

I've always had a passion for music since I was a young child and have grown up embracing my musical talent. I love spreading the joy that music brings to me and have known since a young age that this is what I want to do in life. At the beginning of 2019, I finally took the push to start teaching and I absolutely loved it until coronavirus occurred and I had to temporarily stop.

I have been playing violin for over ten years, have worked with a music professor at Rowan University before and have been apart of multiple orchestras such as Symphony in C Youth Orchestra and All South Jersey Orchestra since 2016. Additionally, I have worked with beginners and children before with the violin prior to the coronavirus.

About the lesson

I offer a free consultation/first lesson to see if the student and I are a good match. Then, I create a lesson plan that is customized to the students needs but is also fun!

I have worked with little kids ranging from kindergarten to 6th grade.

I would say to try to find someone who is patient and tries their best to make learning fun!
