About Marie E

I am a Ph.D. biomedical scientist specializing in biology, molecular biology, cell biology, physiology, neuroscience, and scientific writing. As an instructor at MIT, I taught wet lab techniques in systems physiology and cell and molecular biology to more than 300 students, emphasizing both practical laboratory skills and deep conceptual understanding.

Research Background:
My extensive research experience spans cellular and molecular neuroscience, cell and molecular biology, developmental biology, cancer biology, epigenetics, genetics, animal behavior, and physiology. This hands-on background allows me to teach students how to design rigorous experiments, formulate testable hypotheses, answer biological questions, and critically evaluate scientific literature like experienced researchers.

As an experienced scientific writer and editor with numerous publications, I teach the art of crafting clear, compelling laboratory reports, research papers, and theses. My students develop professional scientific communication skills essential for academic and career success.
