About Olivia
I’m an experienced Physics tutor with a BA in Physics and more than four years of teaching. My interest lies in condensed matter physics and materials science. I break down crystal structures into simple shapes. Students see how these structures define properties. Band theory is linked to the function of modern circuits. I also teach superconductivity and explain its surprising effects. Semiconductors are introduced through familiar gadgets. I help learners understand solids and liquids from fundamental principles. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding Physics instead of memorising formulas. I use active learning to make ideas stick. Newtonian mechanics is taught with simple models.
