Hello! I'm Amit (in short AK), a passionate and experienced online tutor dedicated to helping students in Years 11 & 12 succeed in Math, Physics, and Chemistry. I specialize in the Australian curriculum, including VCE (Victoria), HSC (New South Wales), and QCE (Queensland), and have guided many students toward achieving excellent ATAR scores. About the lesson

Techniques and Teaching Methodology:
My teaching approach is student-centred, structured, and results-focused. I combine the Australian curriculum requirements (VCE, HSC, QCE) with effective strategies to help students build deep understanding and exam confidence. Here's how I teach:

1. Concept First, Application Second: I ensure students truly grasp key ideas before moving into problem-solving. I break down complex topics into manageable parts.

2. Active Practice: We solve exam-style questions every session,

3. Mistake-Based Learning: I encourage students to learn from errors with step-by-step feedback and correction.

4. Ongoing Progress Tracking: I regularly assess understanding with quizzes, mock tests, and topic reviews to ensure consistent improvement.

I have been tutoring students since 2022 after my Post Graduation. I have special experience in handling students weak in concepts and helping them overcome their limitations and barriers and put them along with normal pace of the class

When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
I developed interest 3 years back after finishing by Post Graduation.

I teach Maths & Chemistry from grade IX-XII. I mainly like to deal with specific problems that a student faces in Maths & Chemistry. In Maths, in my teaching experience , students mainly struggle with calculus and that's because fundamentals are not very much clear.
Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
Yes, my highschool teacher in Economics subject is my role model.
What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
Qualities required for a good tutor
(a) Able to understand the difficulty & comprehension level of student
(b) Able to mold himself as per the requirement of student
(c) Deliver the lecture to student as per his/her IQ and not in an impersonal manner
(d) Deal in a friendly, open yet firm way with the students

Actually I love chemistry & Maths from the start but teachers couldn't teach well in grade 11 & 12. Then I referred PhysicsWallah videos (popular YouTuber) and I fell in love with his teaching style, and then I decided to move in teaching field
What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?
Not much difficulty. Few chapters I am not very expert at. So if any request comes for that, I have to turn it down because I do not want to waste the time of the students.
Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
My passion is teaching as well as to see students live a disciplined lifestyle. Today students have immersed themselves so much in social media that they become very dull, lazy, cosy etc. thinking the virtual world is all in all.
What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions)?
I do not want my students to grow just academically but holistically living a disciplined and healthy lifestyle. A real teacher (or Superprof) works more on building character rather than just career.
