About Mia
Why I Want to Teach
I decided to become a tutor because I know firsthand how intimidating it can be to learn a new language or try to master academic English. Often, traditional classroom settings can feel strict and overwhelming.
As a student myself, I understand the modern pressures of learning. My goal is to bridge that gap. I want to:

About My Lessons & Teaching Approach
Hello! I’m Mia, and I am here to help you build your confidence in English. Because I am in my final year of high school, I understand exactly what it feels like to learn and study in a modern environment. I don't do boring, stuffy lectures. Instead, my classes are interactive, encouraging, and completely tailored to your pace.
My Teaching Methodology & Techniques
I believe the best way to learn English is to actually use it. My lessons are built around three core pillars:
Active Conversation: We will talk about topics you actually care about (hobbies, music, daily life) to build your real-world speaking confidence.
Interactive Learning: We will use visual aids, quick quizzes, and practical vocabulary games rather than just staring at textbooks.
A Safe Space for Mistakes: Making mistakes is the fastest way to learn! I focus on gentle correction and positive reinforcement.
Typical Lesson Structure & Length
My standard lessons are 60 minutes long, which is the perfect sweet spot for staying focused without getting overwhelmed. A typical class looks like this:
First 10 Minutes: Warm-up chat and review of our last lesson.
Next 35 Minutes: The core topic (e.g., learning new vocabulary, practicing a specific grammar rule, or reading a short text together).
Final 15 Minutes: Fun practice game, conversational wrap-up, and feedback on how you did.

Beginner to Intermediate learners of all ages who want to improve their everyday conversational English.
School-aged children who need a friendly, encouraging mentor to help them practice reading, writing, and speaking.
