About Freya

With more than 7 years of experience in Mathematics tutoring and a BSc in Mathematics and Statistics, I support students in preparing for IB and A-Level exams. My lessons emphasise clarity, breaking down challenging concepts into simple, logical steps. Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics are the subjects I focus on most, offering depth of knowledge and practical approaches. I teach students to approach each problem in more than one way, building versatility in their skills. Past paper practice is at the core of my teaching, as it ensures familiarity with exam styles and strengthens performance under pressure. I believe that learning should be engaging, so my sessions are interactive and discussion-driven. I encourage curiosity and provide guidance that matches the student’s learning style. Confidence grows as students see their progress, and soon they approach challenges with more independence. I help learners recognise their strengths and work steadily on weaker areas. My teaching not only improves exam results but also develops long-term problem-solving ability. I remind students that consistency is key in Mathematics. Each small achievement builds momentum towards success. With effort and the right support, every student can reach their academic potential.

About the lesson

My Maths teaching approach is focused on clarity, structure, and active engagement. I always begin by breaking down difficult topics into smaller, logical steps. I emphasise Algebra, Geometry, and Statistics while also covering topics such as Calculus for advanced learners. Exam preparation plays a big role in my methodology, with targeted past paper practice and revision strategies. Career switchers benefit from sharpening analytical skills that support career development. Each session is highly interactive, encouraging learners to experiment with ideas and learn through discussion. I stress the importance of approaching problems from multiple perspectives. Mistakes are valued as stepping stones to deeper understanding. With time, students develop resilience and the confidence to tackle complex problems on their own. I also link Maths to real-world scenarios so that learning feels relevant. My goal is to help students not only succeed in exams but also develop lifelong skills in mathematical thinking. With consistent practice and encouragement, every learner can achieve mastery and confidence.
