About Weronika

I'm a first class chemistry graduate from the University of Bristol, having completed my masters degree this last academic year. As a result of my studies I have been awarded the Mike Rothwell prize for best performance on my course. In my third year I completed a year abroad at Heidelberg university in Germany, which allowed me to broaden my understanding of STEM subjects as a whole (and of course improve my language level). In my second year of studies I was President of Fusion, the student led chemistry society at the university. This has helped me to develop my interpersonal skills as well as working with a wide variety of backgrounds. The society received the Gold Award from the Bristol students union as well as winning Bristol society of the year 2021 and being shortlisted twice in the National Societies & Volunteering Awards 2021 for The Committee Excellence Award and The Opportunities for All Award. Throughout my degree I have been a student representative .Having worked as a tutor at A-Level, GCSE as well as with younger children, preparing them for the 11+ exam, I am well versed in teaching to at many different levels. II aim to form a relationship of trust and understanding with my students so that they can feel comfortable and supported in their learning. I also speak Fluent Polish, intermediate German.

About the lesson

In my lessons I aim to engage with your individual needs and help you have a well rounded understanding of STEM. In order to identify topics to target our attention, we will work through a past paper and discuss which concepts we will spend the most time on. I find teaching through examples and worked questions most successful as it allows me to identify exactly what you are struggling with and understand why your making mistakes, as well as giving you real practice with problems you will be later examined on. It is partially important to me to make sure you understand the concepts (which can get a little more challenging in the sciences), so that you can thoroughly remember the ideas which we will discuss. I often use analogies or stories to help make abstract ideas tangible. This allows students to connect ideas and have a better connection to the learning. With over 600 hours of experience over all levels, I have plenty of tailored resources for GCSE, A-Level, International Baccalaureate and University undergraduate level.
