About Elizabeth

I am a First-Class Criminology graduate and recipient of the Best Dissertation 2025 award, currently studying for an MA in Law (PGDL) and achieving Distinction-level results.

Alongside my studies, I have over 100 hours of tutoring experience supporting GCSE, A-Level and university students. I specialise in Psychology, Sociology, Politics and Criminology, helping students improve subject knowledge, strengthen exam technique, and develop confidence in essay-based assessments.

Students and parents have described my teaching as clear, engaging and supportive, with a particular strength in breaking down complex ideas and helping students build confidence in their abilities.

My tutoring combines strong academic knowledge with a patient, structured approach. Whether a student is aiming to improve their grades, prepare for exams, strengthen essay-writing skills or secure a top university place, lessons are tailored to their individual goals and learning style.

As a First-Class graduate and award-winning researcher, I understand what examiners are looking for and help students develop the analytical and written skills needed to achieve academic success.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to build both subject knowledge and exam confidence. After identifying a student's strengths, areas for development and academic goals, I create sessions tailored to their specification and individual learning needs.

Lessons may include:
Clear explanations of key theories, studies and concepts
Essay planning and structured writing support
Exam-style questions and model answers
Revision planning and study techniques
Developing evaluation, critical analysis and argument-building skills
Detailed feedback on written work

A particular focus of my teaching is helping students understand how to apply their knowledge effectively in exams. Many students know the content but struggle to achieve top marks because they are unsure how to structure answers, evaluate evidence, or meet assessment criteria. I provide practical strategies that help students translate their knowledge into higher grades.

Sessions are available for GCSE and A-Level students studying Psychology, Sociology, Politics and WJEC Criminology. Support is also available for university students requiring assistance with essays, coursework or dissertation planning.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged where appropriate.
