About Toby

I am a 25 year-old Law graduate, from Staffordshire.

I have worked in a variety of roles since I finished sixth form, including at a bike shop, a bar and restaurant, as a legal article writer and editor, a campus ambassador for one of the world's largest law firms, and more recently in recruitment and marketing.

Beyond education, I have a zealous passion for cycling, running and fitness more generally.

Most essentially, I am keen to help others throughout their education. I have endeavoured to help younger students since I was in secondary school, and continued to tutor and mentor students as I progressed to university. I am a huge advocate for young people's mental health, and being able to help and aid students is incredibly important to me!

About the lesson

My lessons can be virtual or in-person, and can cover set texts, passages and poems and how to analyse them, or we can simply work over whatever you are struggling with. Whether you need help with analysis, applying context, structuring your answers or grammar and spelling, I can help.

My lessons are for anyone studying GCSE, AS or A-Level English (or an equivalent level). I have tutored in-person in the past, however virtual lessons can be more efficient, and easier to schedule in, particularly for busy students. The length of the lesson is up to you, but I would generally aim for at least an hour, which allows us the time to cover things in-depth without the session dragging on for you.

I am a first-class Law LLB graduate from the University of Liverpool, and have in recruitment, hospitality and marketing. I can also help with university admissions, forming personal statements, building a LinkedIn profile, constructing a CV, or other educational/application advice and proofreading!

Perfect! Toby is a wonderful teacher one could have. He is relaxed, chilled, and pretty easy to talk to. He knows how to use the latest technology to tutor his students, which is very impressive. I had a really positive experience from the lessons that I have taken from him.
