About Libby
I graduated from the University of Sheffield with a first class mathematics degree. I absolutely love learning about data, statistics and mathematical modelling. Since graduating I have been working as an actuarial analyst, using my mathematical skills and knowledge to model risk and analyse financial impacts of different assumptions on annuity products.
I have experience tutoring university students from a variety of STEM subjects who take mathematics in first and second year, as well as tutoring GSCE and A level students.

I prefer when the student gives me the material prior to the lesson, so I can spend some time preparing examples and additional practice material.
I like to deliver the lesson in a format that suits the student best, either by verbal explanation, creating visualisations or through worked examples. Often maths or computing can be challenging to wrap your head around but once you find a technique that works best for the individual then learning becomes a lot less overwhelming and more enjoyable!
