About Alex
I am a Biologist with a background in Chemistry. After graduating from the University of Vermont, I got a job teaching English in Japan. I taught to all different age groups. Since returning, I have continued to tutor my friends who live or are from abroad. My Japanese isn't perfect, but I can speak it.

My classes are based on what each student wants to learn about. I typically start with just a conversation to gauge the person's level and talk about why they want to learn English. I also teach my students about American culture and how to talk like a native.
