About
I went to school for archaeology and was an archaeological crew chief in Arizona. I have worked on many "data recoveries" (fancy way of saying excavations), surveys, and public teaching events in Arizona before moving into the world of writing history. I now am a contributing editor for True West magazine and the assistant editor for The Tombstone Epitaph (like, O.K. Corral Tombstone). I have published lots of books, articles, and papers over the years most of which focus on the history of the American West and Mexico. I am an elected member of the Royal Historical Society, the Wild West History Association, the Oregon-California Trails Association, the Pitcairn and Norfolk Islands Society, and the Wyoming State Historical Society.
