About Inez

I am actively working as a freelance illustrator. My clients come from countries around the world with diverse needs.

I started as a children's book illustrator for several local publishers in Indonesia, then began expanding into taking more private commissions for international clients. I also had the honor of working as a concept artist for a game company in Singapore, and am currently involved in the international gamedev community.

My teaching experience is quite short, only 1 year, caused by the pandemic among other things, but teaching has always been fun for me. There are lots of cool and exciting drawing theories to discuss and practice. Likewise, my work experiences may also be useful for anyone who is about to or has just started their career as an illustrator.

About the lesson

The two things I need to know are the student's interests/goals, and their current level of understanding of drawing. My function is to provide all the necessary foundations and push students in their desired direction.

The average course duration is 1 to 2 hours. Starting from drawing demonstrations and explanations of material, to students actively doing exercises with and without my supervision. Then there will also be feedbacks and revision/problem-solving session.

I taught for 1 year at a well-known illustration school in Jakarta before the pandemic started. From basic drawing skills to preparing and creating a large, complex illustrations. From the mindsets required as an illustrator, to technical understanding such as anatomy, color, etc.

As an illustrator who actively works internationally until now, I am able to provide insights from my experience working in the industry. I believe my class has an added value for students who are serious about entering the illustration industry.
