About Dr Eva
I have been teaching since 2009 and have helped individuals and groups of students of all ages achieve a number of goals from understanding their camera and developing their creativity, building a photo portfolio, developing a photographic body of work and presenting it in photographic exhibitions to supporting University students in their BA, MA and even PhD studies to progress and complete their studies.

I am passionate about photography and about teaching everybody to learn how to `see` and `think` creatively through the lens of a camera but also without it! My aim is to inspire all to create the conditions in their lives to support their creativity.
I hold a PhD in Art and Communication with Photography as my field of specialism and a PGCE teaching certificate in Post Compulsory Education.
I am also a certified Creativity Life Coach offering a holistic approach to photography with The EVA Method to those who need it.
In parallel, I am a practising photographic artist with an interest in abstract photography. I have a comprehensive understanding of contemporary photographic practices and of theoretical approaches to the subject, and also have a strong technical grounding both in traditional and in digital processes. I am experienced in all stages of the development of photographic projects, from early conceptualisation through to printing and exhibiting. I have exhibited nationally and internationally in both solo and group shows. My selection for the Bloomberg New Contemporaries 2008 Exhibition in Liverpool and London is one highlight among them.
As an artist and teacher I insist on the highest professional standards and I emphasise clear and direct communication and honesty throughout.
I offer one-to-one photography tuition for students and individuals from 11 years old to 70+. Whether you’d like to learn the technical side of photography or you’re looking to develop a personal photographic project or portfolio, I can support you every step of the way with expert, personalised guidance. I also provide help with dissertation writing, visual research, and general study support for photography and art-related courses.
All sessions are tailored to the student’s individual needs with fun, hands-on practice and clear explanation and instructions to help them develop their creative potential and achieve their goals.
The first free session is dedicated to discussing your needs and making a plan how to meet them.
Online lessons take place on Zoom or via Google Teams.
In-person sessions can take place at the student's home or in a public area outdoors for better lighting conditions.
