About Kathleen
I am a dedicated and patient tutor with a strong academic background in Mathematics. I understand math can feel a bit overwhelming so I focus on breaking down concepts in a clear and approachable way. I take my role seriously and aim at creating a supportive and respectful learning environment where students are allowed to ask questions as much as they want until we get to a point where the concept is well understood.

I prefer a student centered approach for my teaching where I get to understand each student and focus on their understanding rather than just memorizing.
A typical lesson plan starts with a recap of the previous lesson's material to enhance understanding, introduction of a new concept, a deep dive into the concept materials using relatable examples and guided problem solving. Lastly the student is given questions to try and handle by themselves while guiding when need be.
What sets me apart from other tutors is my patience and ability to adapt to every student's need making sure they understand the why behind every Math problem.
My lessons are designed for high school students looking to understand math better, prepare for exams or simply feel more confident and comfortable with the subject.
