About Isabelle
I am a USA-based female Music Theory tutor with 8 years of online teaching experience specializing in beginner-friendly theory instruction and interactive learning methods. I hold a Master of Arts in Music Theory and Composition Studies.
I received the “Creative Harmony Teaching Award” and the “Student-Friendly Theory Mentor Medal” for excellence in simplifying complex music concepts for beginners. My expertise includes Harmony, Composition, Music Reading, and Ear Training.
Outside teaching, I enjoy creative journaling, reading educational books, piano improvisation, art museums, and listening to orchestral music. These hobbies help me bring creativity and patience into my lessons.

My online one-to-one live Music Theory lessons are designed for K-12 students, high school learners, and college first-year beginners who need simple explanations and a comfortable learning environment. I focus on helping students understand harmony, melody, rhythm, chord construction, ear training, and composition through easy-to-follow methods and interactive discussions. Students can send assignments or difficult questions before class so I can prepare personalized explanations and practice exercises.
I teach Music Reading, Harmony Basics, Chord Building, Melody Writing, Rhythm Analysis, Ear Training, Songwriting, and Composition Fundamentals. I simplify difficult theory concepts into small, manageable lessons that are easy to understand and remember. My teaching approach encourages interaction, discussion, and practical application so students feel comfortable learning theory without confusion.
During lessons, I provide guided exercises, interactive quizzes, revision techniques, and supportive explanations to help students improve steadily. I also prepare students for exams and school assignments using calm and organized learning strategies.
My goal is to make Music Theory simple, enjoyable, and understandable while helping students build confidence and strong academic performance.
