My standard rate is $12 per hour for online tutoring. I want tutoring to be accessible to families, and I understand that everyone’s financial situation is different. If your family is experiencing financial difficulties or has a lower income, please feel comfortable letting me know. I will never ask you to provide proof of your income or financial situation because I believe that can feel degrading or uncomfortable. All I ask is that you give me a heads-up, and I promise I will not deny you help because of your financial situation. Please do not take advantage of my willingness to offer reduced rates. I trust families to be honest with me about their circumstances. If someone intentionally misrepresents their situation simply to receive a lower rate, that takes an opportunity away from another family who genuinely needs the help. I want this to be based on honesty, kindness, and mutual respect. Payment is due before or at the beginning of each lesson. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please let me know as soon as possible, and I’ll do my best to find another time that works. I understand unexpected things happen, so I’m happy to be flexible when possible.
