About Mily

Maths has been my passion for 8 years now, and helping students discover their own version of that passion is what keeps me going. I've worked with all sorts of learners, the ones who freeze up during exams, the ones who think they're "just not maths people," and the ones aiming for top grades who need that extra push. Across GCSE, A-Level, and university-level teaching, I've learned that great tutoring isn't about repeating textbook explanations louder; it's about finding the angle that finally makes sense to you. I keep my lessons relaxed and judgment-free because I know maths anxiety is real, and the last thing anyone needs is more pressure. Instead, we work step by step, celebrating small wins along the way until bigger breakthroughs start happening naturally. My experience has taught me to spot exactly where a student gets stuck and adjust my explanation on the spot, rather than sticking rigidly to one method. I also make sure to keep things practical, connecting mathematical concepts to real situations whenever possible, so the subject feels less abstract and more useful. After 8 years of doing this, I still get genuinely excited every time a student tells me maths finally "clicked" for them. I'd love to help you get there too.

About the lesson

I'm passionate about making Maths make sense, no jargon, no rushing, just clear explanations that actually stick. I work with students at GCSE, A-Level, and university level, covering everything from algebra and trigonometry to calculus and statistics. Every learner is different, so I take time to figure out how you think and learn best, then shape my lessons around that. Struggling with a specific topic? We'll go over it until it clicks. Feeling confident but want to push further? I'll bring in extra challenges to keep you engaged. I like to mix things up with visual aids, step-by-step problem walkthroughs, and plenty of practice questions pulled from real exam papers. My sessions are relaxed but focused, you can ask anything without feeling silly, and mistakes are just part of learning here. I also check in regularly with progress updates, so you always know where you stand and what to work on next.
