About Lewis

I am a teacher with a History and Politics degree, having taught at the British international school, and offered private tuition over a number of years.

About the lesson

I work with the student to help them identify areas they find difficult - this allows me to really get to know the student and understand the way they learn. I am able to recognise that different children have their own strengths and weaknesses, different confidences and insecurities, and I always aim to get to know the student first in order to tailor my methods accordingly. Through my lessons, I always aim to build on each students confidence in their own abilities and hope to find ways and methods for them to view the subject matter enthusiastically. Next, I work with my student to plan what they want to achieve from each session and build strategy to allow them to achieve their potential, in addition to setting them realistic and achievable targets.
