About Hannah

I have worked at a mixed mainstream high school for 5 years, after this I have worked in international schools for 4 years, 3 of which I have been the head of Mathematics. I have taught all year groups from y7-13 including top, bottom and middle ability sets. I am a fully qualified Mathematics teacher and Head of Mathematics with a Maths degree. I like to think of myself as an outgoing individual with a passion for bringing a positive outlook on any situation. I am known for always having a smile on my face by friends, students and colleagues. In my spare time I enjoy running, spending time with friends and travelling. Whilst at school, I found Maths challenging, but my teacher gave me the confidence to overcome those challenges and helped me to see just how valuable and beautiful maths is. For this reason, I continued my studies up to degree level and trained to teach myself in order to inspire others and help them to overcome any of their own difficulties. I have lived in Spain for 3.5 years and I am currently learning Spanish in my free time

About the lesson

I spend a lot of time creating new resources and ensure they all link to new GCSE and A Level spec. I will provide many exam style questions as well as basic questions - my aim is to ensure full understanding of context and then apply it to exam style questions/problem solving questions. I want my students to feel confident and comfortable to try new challenges and attempt everything even if they are not 100% on what the outcome will be. I will provide all resources and will guide and scaffold to your individual level. I am happy to go as quickly or as slowly as you need and want to ensure that you’re making progress every lesson. I use a visualiser so that the student can see everything that I am writing which I have found has worked really well with online sessions
