About Heather
I’m a fully qualified teacher with a passion for both English Literature and Drama, and I believe in the power of stories and performance to inspire learning. Over the years, I’ve worked with students from KS2 through to KS5, helping them not only achieve academically but also grow in confidence and creativity. My special interest in supporting students with dyslexia has shaped the way I teach — ensuring lessons are accessible, adaptable, and encouraging for every learner. Teaching is more than a job for me; it’s about sharing my love for literature and drama, while guiding each student to reach their potential in a way that feels personal and meaningful.

My lessons are always tailored to each student, with a strong focus on adaptation and flexibility. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I use a range of engaging resources – from interactive activities to creative tasks – to bring English Literature and Drama to life. Whether it’s building confidence in reading, developing writing skills, or preparing for exams, I create a supportive environment where students feel encouraged to shine. With specialist knowledge of dyslexia and a passion for helping learners discover their strengths, I ensure every session is personal, purposeful, and enjoyable. My lessons are suitable for KS2 - KS5. I am a fully qualified teacher with a PGCE in secondary education and a bachelor’s degree in Drama and Theatre.
