About WanYi

I am a patient and supportive private English tutor who truly believes that learning should be a fun, worry-free adventure. I want to teach because I love watching students grow in confidence.
My goal is to create a safe, warm space where you never have to fear making mistakes, helping you discover just how easy and exciting learning English can be!

About the lesson

My personal approach to private tutoring focuses on patience, fun lessons, and careful planning to make learning English easy and interesting. Every student learns differently, so I change my teaching style to match what each student needs. Instead of just memorizing words, we will use pictures, stories, and simple notes to learn together.
I always create a friendly, comfortable space where students do not feel scared to make mistakes. This helps them build their confidence, talk more freely, and learn to love the English language.

WanYi has a strong command of English and a natural flair for teaching children. She is patient, attentive, and genuinely understands how children learn. She is able to identify the areas where a child may be struggling or have gaps in understanding, and knows how to guide them in a way that is encouraging and easy to understand.

What truly sets WanYi apart is her genuine love for children. She connects naturally with them, and children genuinely enjoy having her as their teacher.

We met at a short programming course few months back, Wanyi is a person who takes her job seriously, even if it’s doing the smallest tasks. Her English is excellent because she studied in the UK. After knowing her for 3 months, finally she shared one of her biggest dream. To be a teacher. So give her a strike !

I recommend whoever wants to learn English & an introvert person, do jot know how to start, hire WanYi as your tutor.
I just knew WanYi few months ago, and believe me, it was soooooo easy to talk with her. I’m an introvert person, but she knows how to interact with people. Not only that, she loves to teach other people & learning to improve her skills. Since she is a person that is easy to talk with/to, when she teaches you, it was so easy to understand and memories. She even corrected your pronounciation & grammar so you could ace in English!

WanYi is one of the friendliest people I have ever met. On the first day we met, she invited me for a badminton session. It turns out she is a UK university graduate, so she is quite fluent in the English language. She even taught me some Chinese! 10/10
