About Mengjie

Hi, I am Mengjie.
I have just graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Industrial Design and am about to commence a Masters of Construction Management in 2021.
I grew up in the city of Nanchang in China and have spent the last 5 years in Sydney for my university studies. My extensive experience volunteering for campus societies and VIVID Syndey has equipped me with strong communication and interpersonal skills in both Mandarin and English. I am well familiarised with HSK textbooks and New Practical Chinese Reader. I'm keen to help people of any age who want to learn Mandarin through fun, engaging, approachable and clear teaching.
你好，我是Marjorie。我刚刚从新南威尔士大学取得了工业设计的学士学位，将于2021年开始攻读工程管理的硕士学位。我在中国的江西南昌长大，五年前留学悉尼学习工业设计。在校期间，我积极地参加各种社交以及志愿者活动，锻炼了我与人交往和沟通的能力。我是一个亲切友好的人，也非常享受和人聊天的过程。

With life experience in China and Sydney, I am an approachable tutor who can provide you with interesting, fun and friendly tutoring in Chinese. Perfect! Mengjie is a bright young lady! She tested my son’s Chinese skills for an extensive hour and was able to identify very easily what his strengths are and how to use them for his advantage. She also identified what his weaknesses are and set a clear plan to improve them. I really appreciated that she sat with me and explained in details how the future lessons will be structured.
We are looking forward to officially start the lessons with her!
