About Katie
Having gained 3 A*s at A level this summer, I am currently a gap year student holding a place at Durham University to study English Literature in September 2021. I eager to pass on my passion for books and reading through tuition, and I believe that my recent educational experience places me in an ideal position to help pupils with English at school; not only do I have a passion for English, but I am familiar with the exam techniques and marking criteria.
Having volunteered at my local primary school for the past two years, I also have plenty of experience with pupils, from working with individuals on particular skills, to teaching small groups in a classroom environment.

From our daily communications with those around us, to being able to pick up a new book and love it: English is not only essential in our daily lives, but can be a source of pleasure too. With this in mind, I tailor each lesson to the individual, whether they need help with reading comprehension or essay writing, support working towards a test or an exam, or an extra push to unlock their full potential. However, what remains constant is my desire to instil some of my passion for English into whoever I am working with.
