About Shanmuga

I'm a law graduate with a strong academic record — gold medalist in both my undergraduate and postgraduate law degrees — and I hold an LLM specializing in Intellectual Property & Technology Law, along with an MBA. This combination gives me both deep legal expertise and a practical understanding of how law operates in real business environments.
Over the years, I've built a genuine passion for making law accessible. Legal education is often intimidating and overly academic, and I've seen how that discourages capable students from truly engaging with the subject. My goal is to change that experience — to be the mentor who breaks things down clearly, answers questions patiently, and helps students feel confident rather than overwhelmed.

About the lesson

My approach blends legal theory with real-world application, especially in Intellectual Property and Technology Law. As a gold medalist in both my undergraduate and postgraduate law studies, alongside an LLM specializing in IP & Tech Law and an MBA, I bring a practical, business-aware lens to legal concepts most tutors only teach in the abstract.
Classes are structured around case studies, statutory analysis, and scenario-based problem solving — not just rote memorization. I break down complex doctrines (patents, copyrights, trademarks, data protection, tech contracts) into clear, exam-ready frameworks while also connecting them to how these laws actually play out in business and industry.
Beyond IP and Tech Law, I also teach Labour Law, Cyber Law, Corporate Law, and Human Rights Law, so students can get focused support across a wide range of legal subjects rather than switching tutors for each one.
My classes suit law undergraduates, LLM aspirants, and working professionals in tech or IP-related fields who want both academic rigor and practical insight. Every session is tailored to the student's goals, whether that's acing an exam, understanding a niche legal area, or applying legal concepts in a business context.
