About the lesson

I believe the key to scoring well on the ACT/SAT/PSAT/GRE/etc. is viewing the test not as a game to be beaten but rather as a set of skills to be demonstrated. Consequently, test preparation should not consist of learning to "fool" the test but rather of improving oneself so as to rightfully measure up better.

In my curriculum, we focus on building and practicing these skills instead of memorizing methodologies. This approach not only leads to higher scores by virtue of greater understanding and increased enthusiasm but also prepares you for all your future academic endeavors by actually making you better at what these tests are designed to measure!

I am a graduate student at the NYU Center for Data Science, and I have been tutoring since I was in high school. I began teaching physics to fellow students on a freelance basis, and, after becoming a National Merit Scholar and scoring a perfect 36 on my ACT, I began teaching test prep sessions for all 3 major tests (ACT/SAT/PSAT), consistently helping my students improve their scores.

In college, I worked as a Supplemental Instructor, teaching General Chemistry and Organic Chemistry classes. Students who regularly attended my sessions performed significantly better than the class average, and often earned A's despite the difficulty of these courses.
