About Jose Carlos
I hold a Ph.D. in engineering from the esteemed University of Alberta, specializing in Chemical Engineering. Presently, I serve as a Technology and Strategy Analyst, focusing on Energy Transition initiatives. My expertise lies in Computational Catalysis and Reaction Engineering, particularly in the realm of catalytic conversion, where I've dedicated my research to advancing the production of biofuels and chemicals from biomass.
Outside of my professional endeavours, I find great fulfillment in teaching. Academia has always been a passion of mine, and I dedicate my free time to sharing my knowledge and fostering growth in others. Witnessing the evolution of my students over time is a source of immense joy and inspiration, fueling my love for both teaching and learning.
