About Destiny
Hello, I'm Destiny!
I am a full-time online tutor while I pursue my doctorate. I have over five years of experience in education including tutoring, and over two years of experience in the classroom. With my services, you can learn what you need for your class's quiz, test, or next ACT/SAT test day from the comfort of your home!
I specialize in preparation for tests in the subjects that I teach so students feel confident on test day by using assigned homework and classwork. I also specialize in education cases that require an IEP or 504 plan by working with the parent(s), student, and class expectations to ensure understanding by test day. I teach using a problem-based model of teaching. We'll first look at example questions and then work on the fundamentals needed to answer those questions. Each step of the way may get more challenging until the student feels comfortable answering the questions on their own and explaining the answer back to ensure understanding.
