About Daniel
I'm a Student at the Slade and i've been within the arts education system for 6 years; I've made multiple portfolios for university applications and progression through my degree. I've also engaged with other students throughout this time offering one to one tutorials to help tease out the elements of their practise that are the most exciting. How do you experiment, read and make connections within your work to find out what it is you really have to do, and what you really need to say?

I base my lessons around a tutorial system, where we look at work not in isolation, but as a whole body of work. From here, We identify what's working and why, looking at essays and ideas that are linked to the work, and other artists/ books/ techniques that may offer a new way into visually exploring the ideas that excite you. The idea is to enrich your current practise, make it feel full, and create multiple streams of 'projects' or experiments to eventually produce a portfolio that will get the attention of the people you show it to.
