About Thomas

I am a graduate from the University Sydney with a Honours degree majoring in History and Sociology. I have worked as a Research Assistant in the Social Sciences, a youth worker, and have spent close to a decade working the Community Services sector. I have a strong ethic of person-centredness and looking to develop healthy, productive relationships with all people I work with. Academic success takes a lot of hard work and the stakes are high, thus, having someone in your corner to help ease that load while taking your work to the next level is critical.

About the lesson

I have a decades experience in youth and the community services thus my approach to teaching focuses both on building a rapport and mentoring relationship. Length of a lesson would go from 45 minutes to an hour. As a turor I am relatively new, however, I have a history of academic success and have worked in schools as a Learning Support Officer so I am familiar with the school-level educational system. My lessons would be best suited for older students, i.e. Year 11 and 12 or First and Second year Arts majors looking to take their writing and analytical skills to that next level.
