About Eva
I started tutoring AP history in high school which seems like an odd subject to tutor someone in but all 3 of my students had a testing average above 90% all year. I have also tutored math for many years (everything from basic division for 5th graders to calculus for college students). I have also done some college counseling work and assisted with essay writing as well as the entire application process. I love working with students and seeing them understand a subject that once was so daunting.

Everyone learns in different ways but I believe that everyone is capable at becoming a master of any subject. Algebra used to be incredibly difficult for me but my 8th grade math teacher taught in a way that I understood and I went on to understand multi variable calculus. With chemistry, I didn’t believe I was good at it until my first college Professor for chemistry taught it in a way I was never exposed to. After that I got straight A’s in chemistry and organic chemistry. As a tutor I recognize that patience and seeing problems from many perspectives is key. And using this approach builds students self confidence so that they can effectively navigate problem solving in the future.
