About Cherry

Hi, I am Cherry, a student in Mayfield, with outstanding results in Chinese, Maths and Biology.
Studying a whole new language can be accessible and rewarding, especially because there's something for everyone!
I would ensure all of my lessons are well prepared and organised to provide the highest standard of teaching.Students would not only learn to the fullest but also be learning with enthusiasm!

About the lesson

I would structure the lesson into 3 parts. First I would introduce what we will be doing today so that you would know what today's schedule would be about. As I believe that active recall is an efficient way to remember the content that we learnt before, I would continue the lesson by writing down some examples for you to take reference on. By this, you get a chance to apple what you have just learnt in the previous lessons.At this stage,I try to let you work by yourself as much as possible so to boost your confidence in the subject, I would provide a certain amount of guidance if needed. Towards the end of our lesson, I would recap the contents learnt, with some questions related with the lesson. I have found that this is a great way to learn and remember the ideas with are essential for improvement.

Nevertheless, I am aware that most learning resources may seem bland and alienating. So I would try to signal the relevance of what we are learning to the student's own interests and shaping the material that needs to be learnt to fit the learning style of the student. Moreover, to strengthen the knowledge of what the students have learnt, I would provide materials created for the purpose of teaching an exam syllabus with "real" examples of the use of language ( news articles, television shows, magazines,quotes from books, etc).
