About Yashaswi

Growing up seeing my mom make her way through her political career, striving hard to serve society, I always aspired to be a selfless leader like her. She never had second thoughts when it came to helping people and has always been a voice for the people of Secunderabad.

With similar intent, I joined Street Cause, the largest student-run NGO in Hyderabad, to do my bit for society. I started off as an Executive Board Member of my college division, joined the Organising Committee of Hyderabad Youth Assembly 8 and Run For A Cause 6.0, raising INR 25k, INR 70k, and INR 2.5L in respective roles, impacting 100+ people.

My passion for community service and leadership motivated me to secure a more challenging role as the Chief Executive Board Member of Street Cause 20-21 during which I mentored 6 college divisions, handled the Alumni Relations portfolio, and served as the SPOC for Hyderabad Youth Assembly 9. This year was indeed transformational, as I was able to lead teams of 500+ people, interact with thousands of alumni, and raise over INR 10L impacting 2000+ people over the year. But the most difficult aspect was leading Run For A Cause 7.0 as an L4, during which I continuously engaged with, gave direction, and led a 200-member team to raise INR 7L within 50 days.

After a year full of learning and challenges, I was ecstatic when I received a promotion to be the Associate President of Street Cause 2020-21 and I believe this to be my biggest achievement in life so far. My continuous leadership roles at Street Cause have given me the confidence to see myself as a socially conscious leader, just like my mom, and now I can proudly say I am courageous enough to follow her path.

About the lesson

I believe in teaching students the fundamentals and assisting them in developing the skills needed at the grassroots level.

I can assist pupils in understanding their errors and instill confidence in them so that they do not repeat them.

Yashaswi has always been driven to develop her skills as a teacher. She came to us as a student teacher, eagerly taking up extra responsibilities such as advisor of the school newspaper and was a member of our curriculum committee. She continued to demonstrate this drive through her tenure at all the time, even becoming the head of the curriculum committee last year. she embraces any opportunity for professional development, which makes her an ideal leader.
