I always look forward to my lessons with Jack. When I first started them, I was shy about singing, but Jack taught me vocal techniques and exercises so that I can sing things I couldn’t sing before and opened up my voice so that singing is fun and I can enjoy practicing more. Jack is a fantastic teacher. I’m a 50 year old who mainly sings for enjoyment, though I’ve done a bit of semi-professional work in the past. Since working with him, my voice has developed a lot, my range has expanded and I’ve got access to a much wider set of colours in the sound.

As well as giving really useful exercises and guiding me through them, he offers thoughtful feedback on songs, not just technically, but also around how to use different techniques and how to communicate the story properly. I’ve come on a lot with Jack, and I genuinely enjoy singing more than I used to.

He clearly cares about his students and seems to really enjoy the whole process of teaching and helping people improve. Also, small tip: try and get him to sing occasionally, it’s worth it just to hear his voice! I’d highly recommend him.

I’ve been working with Jack for over six months now and he’s honestly been incredible. My voice has changed so much in that time and I’ve improved across a lot of different areas. He’s a really good teacher and has a way of breaking down more complicated techniques so they actually make sense. I’d recommend him to anyone, whether you’re just starting out or already experienced, and I’m really glad I began lessons with him and have stuck with it. Jack is great.

Jack’s been teaching me for two and a half years now and I’ve learnt so much. When I started I struggled to sing high and have the confidence to open up and sing a whole song in front of anyone. After finishing my training at college, Jack was the perfect fit to keep my skills sharp, and continue building on my technique. It was during this time, I was cast as both The Phantom & Raoul cover in the 2020 UK & Ireland tour of The Phantom of the Opera. During the pandemic I continued seeing Jack, & shortly after was cast as Jean Valjean cover in the West End cast of Les Misèrables.

His personal approach and attention to detail are why I continue to value Jack as a mentor and guide, as I continue my career.
