About Lauryn
Playing guitar since I was 4 years old has been my life, and after 13 years of gigging in the Boston area, I found that helping people start music later in life is where I belong. Most of my students are working adults who want to understand the instrument properly without the pressure of a conservatory setting. My Bachelor of Fine Arts from USC Thornton School of Music provides the foundation, but my real classroom has been years of blues and rock stages.
Seeing a student finally get their fingers to move in sync is the best part of my week. Working with busy professionals is rewarding because you bring a unique focus to the fretboard. Whether you are curious about how the pros do it or just want to play for yourself, I am here to help you get started.

You will hear a clear chord transition happen for the first time during our session. We focus on reading tabs, barre chords, and acoustic technique to build your dexterity.
Ear training becomes part of your routine. Fingerpicking adds texture to your playing style.
I use a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high. This structure keeps you moving forward between our meetings.
My approach leans on my background from the USC Thornton School of Music. It keeps things grounded in real musical application. Come by and see how your practice time can become the highlight of your week.
