About Maya

I am a dedicated guitar tutor with 12 years of hands-on teaching experience, having successfully guided around 150 students of all levels—from beginners picking up the guitar for the first time to advanced players refining their technique. My teaching is centered on personalized learning, where each lesson is tailored to match the student’s pace, goals, and musical interests. I strive to create a positive and engaging environment that encourages creativity, confidence, and consistent growth. Whether it’s acoustic, electric, classical, or bass guitar, I bring versatility and adaptability to every session. I also incorporate music theory, ear training, and performance techniques to provide a well-rounded musical education. My goal is to help students not only play the guitar but truly connect with their instrument and develop a lasting passion for music.

About the lesson

My teaching strategy for guitar is built on integrity, understanding, and a deep respect for each student’s unique musical journey. I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable exploring and developing their skills. I focus on building a strong foundation in technique, theory, and musicality, while encouraging creativity and self-expression. With cultural sensitivity at the core, I embrace diverse musical backgrounds and styles—whether it’s classical, jazz, acoustic, electric, or bass guitar. I approach each lesson as a problem-solving opportunity, helping students overcome challenges with patience and practical strategies. Lessons are tailored to individual learning goals, pace, and interests, ensuring every student stays motivated and engaged. In addition to guitar, I also offer instruction in music-related subjects like composition, ear training, and performance skills to support a well-rounded musical education.
