About Matthew

Hi there! My name's Matt, and I'm here to teach you Guitar. I first learnt the guitar when I was 10 and over the years it has become one of my greatest passions. It's such a great way to express yourself and to relieve stress. I've had the privilege to play on stage a few times as well which is such an exhilarating experience! I would love to teach you to play this wonderful instrument. You will be amazed at what you can do with a little practice and hard work! I also have plenty of experience working with children including practical and theoretical training.

About the lesson

I’ve been playing the guitar for over a decade, and it’s one of my greatest passions and creative outlets. I’d love to share that passion with you by teaching you how to play this amazing instrument. If you're a beginner who's always wanted to learn, I would love to guide you on your musical journey! We’ll start with the basics—like using a pick and fingerpicking—before moving on to open chords, barre chords, power chords, and much more. I tailor my lessons to your musical interests and can incorporate music theory if that’s something you’d like to explore. Lessons last an hour.

Matthew is a great teacher - able to capture and keep people's attention and interest, very encouraging and patient. Everyone who knows him in France thinks he is French - because he speaks like a native and knows the French culture, having lived here from the age of 5. His English is equally good. He is a high achiever and will do his best to enable his pupils to improve their French. I highly recommend him. From a family member.
