About Essence
I am 23 years old and earned my Associate in Arts degree at the age of 19. Due to COVID-19, I did not attend A&T University but was accepted. Learning is the thing I am most passionate about, I hope to always remember that I am a student first and a teacher second. I have my real estate license , recently became a travel agent, am currently taking classes to become a transaction coordinator for real estate closings, and am on the way to becoming a notary public. I feel that to be a good teacher, learning has to be something you are not willing to give up. No matter how old you get.

I like to use examples and catchy phrases to help information stick. A typical lesson plan would cover the fundamentals and the reasons why things work the way they do. I am different from other tutors because I understand that wrong answers do not always mean the student does not know what they're doing. Progress is the way to know if a student is learning. I practice the art of Kaizen, meaning improvement. 1% better each day. I teach students from Kindergarten all the way up to graduate level degrees in various subjects. Math is my favorite!
