About Matthew
I love to travel, having now been to 76 countries. In the last country that I visited I met a beautiful woman, we fell in love, and this September we are getting married! I will soon move to my fiancée's country of Sierra Leone (in West Africa) - but I can continue to tutor my students!
I love to hike, and have now walked 2000 miles of the British coast. I read about 100 books every year on a wide variety of subjects, including theology, religion, history, psychology, literature, mythology, politics, sociology and cultural studies.
I am from Lincolnshire; have a loving family; am a Christian; and am 43.

I really enjoy learning and teaching, and I find that my joy is infectious - that my students enjoy learning, too!
I struggled at school, including the challenges of dyslexia and ADHD. But excellent teachers helped me to do well, and I plan soon to do my PhD. I now love to learn, spending hours every day reading.
I can help you to enjoy learning, and I can help you to understand difficult topics. I know what it is like to struggle at school and university, and I know the value of having good people alongside you. I hope that I can help you as others helped me.

Matthew does something very few teachers do, he stirs imagination and makes me want to learn. That has meant I've invited him to not just teach me, but to engage whole groups of people. And he did it very effectively. I thoroughly recommend him.
